Zaida Lane-Shephard

Licensed Independent Social Worker

Zaida Lane-Shephard (she/hers) is a licensed independent social worker with an undergraduate degree in social work from Western Kentucky University and a master's degree in social work from Campbellsville University. As a mental health therapist, Zaida's goal is to create a space where her clients feel seen, valued, held, and respected. She believes that while we cannot change difficult situations of the past, we will work collaboratively to develop tools and techniques to better handle life's stressors and promote a journey toward living a more mindful life that is aligned with your personal values.

Zaida has experience working with children and adults in both community mental health and private practice settings. She has worked with clients who have sought support for a myriad of reasons including depression, anxiety, histories of trauma, criminal conduct, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and relationship and self-esteem issues.

Zaida utilizes various treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
