About Stephanie
Stephanie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with children and teens, as well as supporting the families who care for them. She says, “My life’s work has been kids since I was a kid.”
Stephanie was a teacher for 14 years and a girl scout troop leader for 6 years before pursuing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University. In the early days of her Master’s program, she remembers feeling moved by play therapy. She combines her love for play therapy with a special interest in working with neurodivergent individuals to make therapy a fun, accessible, warm and productive place for all.
She is pursuing advanced training in play therapy and uses creative, developmentally appropriate approaches to help children feel comfortable, understood, and supported. She has completed over 100 hours of play therapy specific training. Stephanie especially enjoys working with anxiety, ADHD, and parent-child relationships.
Stephanie prioritizes person-centered therapy and finds fulfillment in making therapy feel warm and easy-going to clients. “I’m a real person. I care, I don’t judge.” …“At the end of the day, I want to make the world a better place.”
In her free time, Stephanie enjoys being creative. Photography, cake decorating, and baking sourdough bread are all hobbies she loves.
