About Deborah

Deborah is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who has been independently licensed since 2021. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II) and EMDR-trained clinician, and is currently working toward becoming a Certified EMDR Therapist.

She specializes in working with adults impacted by trauma, PTSD, grief, suicide loss, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and stress, with particular experience supporting healthcare providers, first responders, and those navigating traumatic loss.

Deborah’s approach is trauma-focused, strength-based, and humanistic, emphasizing trust, safety, compassion, and collaboration. She integrates CBT, EMDR resourcing, somatic approaches, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation to help clients better understand their experiences, reduce shame, and develop meaningful tools for healing. She believes therapy should be a place where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to take an active role in their healing.

Outside of therapy, Deborah is a curious soul and lifelong learner who loves getting lost in a good book, discovering new ideas, learning Portuguese, and embracing winter’s quieter, cozier days. She has a deep appreciation for art and music and is endlessly curious about the stories, experiences, and perspectives that make each person unique.
