David Root

Licensed Independent Social Worker - Supervisor

David is a seasoned therapist and has experience working successfully with clients of all ages.  He specializes in working with kids (10+), teens, and young adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, trauma recovery, and behavioral challenges.  He is passionate about instilling hope in his clients.

He is trained in a variety of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, and suicide prevention using the CAMS model. David’s style is comfortable and engaging, and he is especially skilled at engaging resistant teens in therapy.  In his spare time, he is a high school football referee.
