Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - Supervisor
Sarah is a LPCC-S and has been practicing therapy for several years and enjoys teaching clinical skills to new clinicians as an adjunct professor at Ashland University and in her Supervisor role. She specializes in PTSD and any issues related to abuse and trauma, grief, mood disorders and women's issues. She is trained in EMDR therapy and is certified as a facilitator in trauma-informed yoga.
Sarah takes a somatic approach to help you learn to build an alliance with your body and heal the trauma it carries. Often times, through body awareness practices like mindfulness and movement, trauma can be released and healed. Along with body work, she uses psychoeducation to empower clients with knowledge to learn about trauma and the brain, strength-based approaches, and narrative therapy techniques to help clients take ownership of their own life stories.
